A Note from Kate & Tony:
I had the opportunity to show some country properties this week to a client who is ready to leave the development life behind in favor of some land...enough to keep a few horses and maintain a large garden. I was struck by a couple of things. Though the temperature was 90 degrees, the colorful signs of autumn were everywhere. I recently read that the season of color was likely to be short and not overly vibrant this year; if that's the case, I urge you to get out now and look for the yellows, reds and burnt oranges that define this time of year!
The second thing that struck me as I was showing these country homes was just how close the country really is. In minutes, I was driving on quiet and peaceful roads just north of New Albany. I felt totally transported and with that experienced a sense of calm...I found myself taking deep breaths and visibly relaxing. It was therapeutic for sure. So rather than taking time to "smell the flowers", take time right now to see the sites of Fall on a quiet country road. You'll be glad you did. Have a wonderful and colorful month!
