Happy Mother's Day from Kate & Tony Thomas!
I am so happy that the skies are blue more than they are gray and that the trees are green once again! Between that and the arrival of Daylight Savings Time, Columbus is cycling back to the time of year that makes living here all worthwhile!
Even though outside it feels like spring is just beginning, spring (at least the spring semester) is over for Will! We picked him up at the airport last night. He just completed his freshman year at the College of Charleston. He arrived home looking very “Southern” with his seersucker shorts, topsiders, and requisite polo! I think he was as glad to see New Albany and his home (aka his bed!) as we were to see him! Of course, we are all still on the honeymoon – we don’t mind seeing his shoes lying around and he doesn’t mind being asked “what time will you be home”? I’m sure by this time next month; we’ll all be singing a different tune!
May is a BIG month for Tony and me! We celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary in a couple of weeks. We plan to celebrate all year long starting with a long weekend to Chicago next week. We’ll see Wicked, a comedy show by Second City, and of course the real estate component of the weekend is a tour of Frank Lloyd Wright homes that are open just one day a year! I’m sure we’ll get in a Mother’s Day Brunch somewhere fun while we’re at it! Hope you are able to celebrate Mother’s Day with your Mom and family! Have a great month!
