The fireworks display in New Albany never disappoint and this year was no exception! We enjoyed watching them from right in front of our New Albany Realty office on Market Street! Tony and I spent the holiday weekend at home on a “staycation”. Seems like we were not alone…the pool was packed, as were the movie theatres and restaurants! It’s amazing the things you can find to do right in your own back yard when you get a little creative. There’s one thing we didn’t make it to but will do so before the month is out – an exhibit at the Ohio Historical center titled “50 Years of Pulitzer Prize Winning Photographs.” I don’t want to miss it. The exhibit is only there through the end of July and sounds like an informative and historical perspective of the past 50 years. Attending an exhibit like this one is just one example of things to do right here in Columbus.
As we saw over the 4th of July weekend, planning a great summer doesn’t have to be complicated or expensive. Last week, Tony and I took a “field trip” out to the country to pick raspberries! And boy did we pick them! We came home with over 10 pounds of ripe, delicious berries. It was great fun and a tremendous change of pace…not to mention we now have a huge supply of berries to enjoy in the months to come! The key to enjoying the summertime, even if you stay close to home, is to actually schedule the time! There’s half of a summer left so make plans to enjoy it!
Best to all of our friends and clients,
Kate & Tony
