Westerville is located in the central part of Ohio and is one of the largest suburbs of Columbus. Historical Westerville

Also called Uptown Westerville, the area overflows with history. There are the beautiful architecturely breathtaking structures that have been upfitted and showcased by locally owned stores and condos to provide a wonderful walking community history. History buffs will also love and appreciate the splendied Anebellum era homes, several of which were stations on the Underground Railroad. The most famous Underground Railroad stop is Hanby House, which you can tour and visit most days of the year. Not only did Hanby help many slaves reach freedom, but he was also a composer who wrote many famous hyms, including the Christmas favorite "Up on the Housetop". The house and museum are managed locally by the Westerville Hisotrical Society.

Home to one four year liberal arts college, Westerville also has outstanding public schools. Your children will attend the Westerville City School District, which offers three high schools, four middle schools and sixteen elementary schools. Westerville Parks and Rec has won the gold medal for Excellence in Parks and Recreation Management for Class IV in both years of eleigiblity (2001 and 2007).
