New Albany continues to “hold its own” in this challenging real estate market. Unlike the rest of Columbus, unit sales in New Albany this year are equal to unit sales at this time last year. The total Columbus Board of Realtors Multiple Listing Service reports a 15% decline in sale of single family homes this year versus last year. While average dollars per square foot for sold homes has declined by about 6% in New Albany over last year, the average in the Columbus CBR MLS is off 8%. This truly drives home the thought that all real estate is local…even within communities in our greater metropolitan area.
