Be the first to comment on this post

The BIA (Building Industry Association) recently announced that New Albany, Ohio will host the 2010 BIA Parade of Homes.  The Parade of Homes is scheduled to take place July 10 – 25, 2010.   This 58th Parade will be located in Ackerly Park, an 18 acre site near the intersection of Market Street and Main Street in the New Albany Village Center District.  This location is believed to be the first ever Parade situated within the center of a community and as such, creates a unique opportunity for builders and buyers alike.

kateblog1There will be much to look forward to next year.  In addition to the signature Georgian architecture, leisure trails, parks, ponds and pleasant streetscapes that are the essence of each New Albany neighborhood, the homes of Ackerly Park will present a unique opportunity for environmentally friendly living.  Parade homes will be located within walking distance of the majority of New Albany’s amenities and will showcase the latest technology, energy efficiency options, durable products and cost sensitive construction techniques.

Visit www.NewAlbanyOhio.com to see both a rendering of the New Albany Parade site map as well as a plot of the lots available.  If you would like to preview these lots or consider building a home as one of the Parade of Homes, please contact Kate & Tony Thomas at New Albany Realty.

See you soon,

Kate

Be the first to comment on this post

Google Street View is Available in New Albany, Ohio

Want to feel like you’re standing right in front of a house or street without actually going there? Then Google’s latest mapping tool, Street View is for you! If you haven’t tried this feature of Google Maps recently, you need to check it out. We love that potential buyers can get a feel for a surrounding neighborhood while they’re looking at homes online.

Google Maps

This technology was made possible by Google using tons of vehicles mounted with cameras taking panoramic photographs in many of our largest cities (including New Albany). Due to the highly intuitive user interface, you really get a sense of “being there.”

Street View allows a 360 degree view of any location that has been enhanced (about 40 cities so far) in this way. We incorporated Street View on our New Albany real estate website because we know the clients (and potential clients) who use our website start their real estate research online. Therefore, it is vital that we, as your New Albany property experts, help you save both time and money by making the latest tools available and easy to use.

McCoy Performing Arts CenterThe Jeanne B. McCoy Community Center for the Arts  will celebrate its Grand Opening during a week-long series of events from February 19-24, 2008. The New Albany Community Foundation, through endowments, private donations and fund-raising events will support the programming efforts to attract guest lecturers, artists, and first-class cultural opportunities to the center. The students will use it for daily activities such as bands, orchestras, ensembles, choirs, drama, lectures and assemblies. The vision to create a first-class performing arts center for our community is the result of hard work by the Board of Directors and hundreds of volunteers on various committees for programming, marketing, outreach and others. There will be multiple performances, and community events during the week of February 19, 2008.   Save These Dates and be a part of the excitement and experience of the McCoy Center Grand Opening!
