Thoughts of Autumn

Yesterday, the Village of New Albany held an Octoberfest celebration on Market Street. It was a great autumn day – sunny, cool, with leaves beginning to fall. I wore a jacket and socks for the first time in months!

For me, autumn is cozy and comforting. I slow down a bit, go to bed a little earlier, and cook a little bit more. I look forward to holidays, family gatherings, and of course, drives down country roads in search of the spectacular color that defines autumn! Focusing on these things is really important right now as it’s easy to let the economic news and negative political ads make you forget how to relax and enjoy all that is good in our lives.
